You don't always need a reason to celebrate
Of course, it's always fun to have a reason to celebrate and take photos! It's also ok to take photos just because - some of my favorite sessions have been just-for-fun ones. I also love the ones that have meaning, like a milestone, a birthday session, or something else.
I want my clients to feel like they know me and not "some photographer who took my photos." Your experience with me from inquiry to photo delivery will be memorable in the best way possible. Let me know what this session will mean for you.

The Important Questions
How long is a portrait session?
My portrait sessions are a minimum of 1 hour. I find this gives people plenty of time to warm up and get into a nice groove, and you'll get a variety of photos to pick from.
Can you help with locations?
Definitely. I'll listen to your vision and come up with a list of 3-5 places (with example photos) for you to pick from. I like to suggest a mix of places I've been to and ones that would be new!
How do I know what to wear?
I will help you with outfits! Part of it has to do with your personality, and the other part will be based on where your session will be. This is something we can talk about during your consultation.
When you book a session with me, you will get access to my client-exclusive session prep guide that has style guidance (among other useful information) to help you prepare for your session!
What should I bring to my portrait session?
At a minimum: comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, and makeup to touch up (if you plan to wear makeup). I also encourage you to bring props!
When you book a portrait session with me, you will get access to my Client Experience Guide that outlines everything in detail to help you prepare for your session.
Can I bring pets?
ABSOLUTELY. If you do want to bring pet(s), I just ask that there is someone who can help with watching them when they're not in photos, giving snacks, maybe grabbing their attention for photos, etc.
What happens if there's bad weather?
If there is a forecast of bad weather or the weather turns on us during the session, we can reschedule. Do not worry about the forecast if it's more than 3 days out because it can change quickly. I will work with you 1-2 days before your session date to figure out a new game plan if the forecast isn't looking great. I'm pretty flexible with this and will work with you for weather reschedules!
