Working with me
A sneak peekOnce you inquire, I'll send over my full pricing information. We'll set up a time to chat so we can get to know each other and talk about any ideas you have and how to make your headshot session reflect your personality.
After we get you booked with your signed contract and 50% retainer, you'll get a Client Experience Guide. I will send over your proof gallery within 3 days of your session, and you'll have 5 days to pick photos. You'll get your final edits 3-4 weeks after you make selections!
The Important Questions
Where would we take my headshots?
Most of the headshots I've done have been outside or inside at a cafe. I like to suggest places to people based on their vibe and where they'll be using their headshots. There's always the option to rent a studio for an additional fee, which is good if you know you need a plain background.
What do I wear?
Dress for your industry or the industry you want to work in while also being comfortable. In general, neutrals are always a safe bet. Complementary colors for your skin, hair, and eye color are also great to make those pop!
What should I bring to my headshot session?
At a minimum: comfortable walking shoes, water, snacks, and makeup to touch up (if you plan to wear makeup).
When you book a headshot session with me, you will get access to my Client Experience Guide that outlines everything in detail to help you prepare for your session.
How should I do my makeup?
If you're a makeup-wearer, you'll want to slightly elevate your usual look. This means deepening your eyeshadow, blush, and/or bronzer a little more than usual to make it pop on-camera.
If you don't usually wear makeup but want to have a little something something, I suggest filling in your brows, wearing mascara and/or eyeliner, and wearing a MLBB* lipstick for a natural look.
*MLBB = my lips but better
What happens if there's bad weather?
If there is a forecast of bad weather or the weather turns on us during the session, we can reschedule. Do not worry about the forecast if it's more than 3 days out because it can change quickly. I will work with you 1-2 days before your session date to figure out a new game plan if the forecast isn't looking great. I'm pretty flexible with this and will work with you for weather reschedules!
Can you help with school application photos?
Absolutely! I know that sometimes there are specific requirements for school (or school-related) applications. I will make sure we have regular, high quality headshots for you, as well as resized versions that follow specific guidelines and requirements you may need.
